COURTNEY MOODIE

MENTAL PERFORMANCE INTERN

Screenshot 2025-05-28 at 4.10_edited.jpg

We’re thrilled to welcome Courtney Moodie as our newest Intern at Next Play Sports!

Courtney is entering her senior year at Randolph-Macon College, where she is majoring in psychology and competing as a collegiate field hockey player. Her initial interest in psychology was rooted in a desire to better understand and support people—particularly teens and young adults—through potential careers in counseling or therapy, but her passion found a new path after learning more about sports psychology and recognizing firsthand how mental performance has shaped her own athletic journey.

Inspired by her experiences on the field and in the classroom, Courtney is now pursuing a career in sports psychology, with a strong interest in working with youth and high school athletes.

In addition to her academic and athletic pursuits, Courtney holds a leadership role with Morgan’s Message, a national organization dedicated to student-athlete mental health and suicide prevention. She’s also an active participant in Randolph-Macon’s Honors College, where she’s taken on community service projects, workshops, and honors courses that continue to push her learning beyond the standard curriculum.

Courtney hails from Hershey, Pennsylvania, and is a proud 2022 graduate of Hershey High School, where she was an honor roll student, a member of the National Honor Society, and a part of the 2018 state championship field hockey team.

After graduation, Courtney plans to pursue an advanced degree in sports psychology and focus her career on empowering the next generation of athletes with the tools, mindset, and mental skills they need to thrive.

We couldn’t be more excited to have Courtney join our team this summer and look forward to the impact she’ll make in our mission of developing confident, resilient performers on and off the field!
